Use of Gum Arabic GA-1000

Medicine and Pharmacy

Due to its protective properties, it is sometimes used in antitussive preparations to alleviate inflammation of the mucous membranes. It is an auxiliary substance in the processes of granulating and tableting medicinal substances, it is also a component of coatings in coated tablets.

Production of paints

Gum Arabic is used in the production of paints, in photography, in printing, where it increases the adhesion and durability of the ink.

Food industry

Currently, gum arabic is known as a food additive with the symbol E414. In the food industry, it is used as a thickening, stabilizing, emulsifying and glazing agent. We can find it, for example, in dairy products for children (yogurts, drinks), in functional dairy products (e.g. probiotics, increasing immunity), in chewing gums, confectionery products, and in beers and soft drinks in which it stabilizes the foam.
